Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Expert to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement processes, supplier relationship management, and cost optimization strategies. As a Procurement Expert, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the procurement activities to ensure the acquisition of goods and services is efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with the company's objectives. You will play a critical role in negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality goods and services. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and efficiency.
  • Negotiate and manage contractual agreements with suppliers and vendors.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and pricing.
  • Manage the procurement budget and report on expenditures and cost savings.
  • Coordinate with other departments to understand procurement needs and requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations in all procurement activities.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and suggest improvements to enhance service delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain and procurement processes.
  • Develop and maintain an updated database of suppliers and vendors.
  • Oversee the timely delivery and quality of goods and services purchased.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on procurement activities and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience with contract management.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends.
  • Proven track record of achieving cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for managing procurement records.
  • Experience in supplier development and performance management.
