Job Description

The Finance Associate plays a critical role in supporting the financial operations of an organization by assisting with financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis. As a key member of the finance team, this role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. The Finance Associate must be detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies and implement solutions effectively. Additionally, this position requires proficient use of financial software and tools, as well as the capability to communicate financial insights and recommendations to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. This role provides a valuable opportunity to gain broad experience in finance and accounting within a dynamic work environment.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports on a monthly basis.
  • Collaborate with the finance team in budget preparation and variance analysis.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments for vendors.
  • Maintain detailed financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Support the finance manager in ad-hoc financial analysis and projects.
  • Contribute to the monthly close process by reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies.
  • Assist in the preparation for the annual audit and liaise with external auditors.
  • Analyze financial data to provide insights on financial performance and trends.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management review and decision-making.
  • Monitor cash flow and provide recommendations for optimal use of funds.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve financial operations and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of two years experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for conveying financial information.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards is essential.
