Security Implementation Engineer (225-1002)

The Security Implementation Engineer is an integral part of our cybersecurity team focused on planning, implementing, and overseeing the security measures to protect our organizational data, networks, and systems. The role requires technical expertise in security protocols, systems, and emerging security technologies, as well as the strategic acumen to foresee security challenges and provide comprehensive cybersecurity solutions. As a Security Implementation Engineer, you will work closely with other IT professionals to ensure that all security measures align with our company’s regulatory requirements and overall security strategy. Your role will not only involve hands-on security implementation but also the continuous evaluation and upgrading of security measures to counteract potential cybersecurity threats. You will be trusted to make critical decisions and contribute significantly to our security environment by implementing cutting-edge security solutions efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures for organizational safety.
• Conduct threat and risk analysis, and present their findings to management.
• Monitor and respond to network attacks, intrusions, and unusual, unauthorized activities.
• Install security software and hardware systems to defend against unauthorized access.
• Evaluate, monitor, and upgrade security measures to protect data infrastructures.
• Collaborate with IT teams to design, implement, and maintain effective security architectures.
• Lead and manage incident response activities, including mitigation strategies.
• Prepare detailed reports on security incidents for management and regulatory bodies.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security standards, systems, and authentication protocols.
• Provide training to employees on security policies and promote security awareness.
• Ensure compliance with security regulations and maintain proper security documentation.
• Perform regular security assessments and initiate improvements in our cybersecurity framework.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT Security, or a related field is required.
• Proven experience in a security engineering role with hands-on technical skills.
• Familiarity with security assessment tools and techniques for robust testing.
• In-depth understanding of common security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, etc.
• Strong analytical skills to quickly assess and respond to security threats effectively.
• CISSP, CISM, or similar security certifications will be considered an advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards security threats.
