Job Description

The Manager of Global Accounts Payable is a pivotal role in any finance department, responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of accounts payable operations globally. This position requires a strategic thinker who can lead a team to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, adherence to company policies, and compliance with international accounting standards. With a focus on driving efficiency and optimizing processes, the Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to resolve issues, mitigate risks, and implement best practices. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with strong leadership skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to navigate the complexities of global operations.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the global accounts payable operations ensuring processes are efficient and compliant.
  • Lead and manage a team of accounts payable professionals across various regions.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures to optimize AP operations worldwide.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in the processing and payment of all invoices.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve account discrepancies.
  • Implement and optimize technology solutions to improve efficiency in AP functions.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes for accounts payable activities.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators and metrics for accounts payable operations.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve accounts payable processes and workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with global accounting standards and corporate policies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors to support effective issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with procurement and finance teams to support company-wide financial strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounts payable, including 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of international accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing a diverse, global team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, in a multicultural environment.
