Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Clinical Dietitian to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with healthcare providers to ensure that patients receive individualized nutrition care that enhances recovery and improves overall health. The Clinical Dietitian will assess patients' nutritional needs, develop appropriate care plans, and provide guidance on healthy eating habits. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of medical nutrition therapy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on patient outcomes and promote wellness across various medical specialties.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients based on their medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement personalized nutrition care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate patients’ progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients and families on nutritional guidelines and healthy diet choices.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient interactions and care plans accurately in medical records.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patients’ nutritional care.
  • Conduct research to stay updated on the latest nutrition science and guidelines.
  • Provide expert advice and support for nutritional interventions and therapies.
  • Facilitate group nutrition education classes for patients and staff as needed.
  • Advocate for nutritional considerations in patient care across various settings.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the nutrition department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field is required.
  • Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) by a recognized authority.
  • Valid license as a dietitian.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical dietetics experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and current nutrition guidelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective patient education.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
