Automation Tester (225-922)

An Automation Tester plays a crucial role in the software development lifecycle, focusing on the design, implementation, and execution of automated tests to ensure the quality and performance of software applications. Responsibilities

• Develop and execute automated test scripts using appropriate testing tools and frameworks.
• Collaborate with software developers to understand software requirements and create effective test cases.
• Identify, record, and thoroughly document bugs identified during the testing process.
• Maintain test scripts and ensure they are updated for any software changes or enhancements.
• Perform regression testing of software applications to ensure system performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to develop a comprehensive testing strategy.
• Analyze test results to discover and solve defects, and report them accurately.
• Monitor and mitigate any risks associated with automation testing efforts and projects.
• Stay abreast of industry trends to recommend and implement improvements in testing procedures.
• Work closely with product management and user experience teams for enhanced application features.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback from a testing perspective.
• Enhance existing automation infrastructure and contribute to the design of new solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in software testing or a similar role.
• Proficiency with automation testing tools such as Selenium, QTP, or others.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
• In-depth understanding of software development life cycle and testing methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in testing processes.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with development teams and stakeholders.
