Job Description

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the Store Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the store. You are responsible for ensuring a high level of customer service, developing strategies to increase sales and profitability, and managing inventory and staff effectively. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with a strong ability to motivate and influence a team. With a focus on driving sales and ensuring smooth store operations, you will be pivotal in cultivating a positive shopping experience for our customers. Your ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and adapt to dynamic and changing situations will contribute to the overall success of the store.


Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in daily operational tasks and store management duties.
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating store team members effectively.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and service excellence consistently.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure product availability to meet customer demands.
  • Implement sales strategies to achieve store sales targets and profitability goals.
  • Oversee merchandising and display efforts to optimize the store’s appeal and sales.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback efficiently and professionally.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Maintain a safe and clean store environment adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and optimize stock levels and store layout.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate store performance and objectives.
  • Assist in developing and implementing promotional events to increase store traffic.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • Previous retail experience in a supervisory or management role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and motivate staff.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Proven analytical skills with a good understanding of sales metrics and KPIs.
  • Proficiency in using retail software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
