Job Description

The role of a Sr. Executive in Procurement/Supply Chain is a pivotal position within any organization that deals with goods and services. This role involves supervising and implementing strategies for the procurement and supply of products in the most cost-effective and timely manner. The Sr. Executive will drive supplier development, negotiate contracts, establish procurement policies, and strive for process improvements. Collaborating closely with other departments like production, logistics, and finance, the Sr. Executive ensures that all supplies meet quality standards and are aligned with the company’s strategic goals. This position demands excellent analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage budgets and meet strict deadlines.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement efficient procurement and supply chain strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous terms for the organization.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure continuous improvement and compliance.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure clarity of specifications and expectations.
  • Oversee the procurement process from order to delivery to ensure timelines are met.
  • Analyze market and delivery systems to assess current and future material availability.
  • Develop, mentor, and guide junior procurement staff to optimize department performance.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with applicable laws and organizational policies.
  • Manage inventory levels to prevent stock outs and reduce excess inventory costs.
  • Implement cost-saving strategies and identify opportunities for reduced spending.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and innovations that impact procurement and supply chains.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading procurement initiatives and cost-saving projects.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and experience dealing with international suppliers.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and develop strategic decisions.
  • Proficiency in procurement software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with aptitude in building relationships.
