Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Service Advisor to join our automotive service team. As a Service Advisor, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, ensuring they receive exceptional service and maintenance for their vehicles. You will play a pivotal role in providing expert advice on service options, managing service schedules, and maintaining comprehensive records. Your ability to clearly communicate technical information and translate it into layman's terms will be essential in helping customers make informed decisions about their vehicle care. Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to their needs and concerns.
  • Provide detailed explanations of services and repair options to customers.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive systems and service processes.
  • Coordinate scheduled service appointments and manage service paperwork efficiently.
  • Communicate with technicians to ensure clarity on services and problem diagnostics.
  • Review completed work and service recommendations with customers accurately.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any service issues promptly and professionally.
  • Upsell maintenance services and products that meet customer needs without pressure.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive customer records and service histories.
  • Monitor and manage workshop capacity to optimize scheduling and workflow.
  • Assist in preparing service estimates and explain warranties clearly to customers.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to company safety policies and service standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a service advisor or customer service role preferred.
  • Strong understanding of automotive technologies and vehicle maintenance procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using service management software and other computer applications.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
