Responsibilities

• Develop engaging and comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Instruct students using a variety of teaching methods, including lectures and discussions.
• Conduct laboratory experiments to reinforce learning and scientific principles.
• Evaluate student progress through tests, exams, and practical assessments.
• Ensure that students understand scientific concepts and encourage critical thinking.
• Maintain a safe and organized lab environment, following all safety protocols.
• Collaborate with other teachers to integrate science into school-wide curricula.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the varied learning abilities of students.
• Provide feedback and support to students to promote academic growth.
• Stay updated on the latest scientific discoveries and incorporate them into lessons.
• Encourage extracurricular science participation, such as clubs and science fairs.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science Education, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
• Valid teaching certification or license as required in the state or region.
• Proven experience teaching high school or middle school science courses.
• Strong knowledge of scientific topics and the ability to convey complex ideas.
• Excellent organizational and classroom management skills for effective teaching.
• Ability to engage and motivate students with diverse learning capabilities.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with stakeholders.
