Job Description

A Procurement Engineer plays a vital role in managing a company's supply chain and ensuring that the procurement needs are met efficiently and effectively. This role involves sourcing and purchasing raw materials and essential components required for manufacturing and production. As a Procurement Engineer, you will be responsible for negotiating with suppliers, managing contracts, and ensuring quality control of the incoming goods. Responsibilities

  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials purchased.

  • Manage and update procurement databases to reflect accurate supplier and material information.
  • Prepare and analyze procurement reports to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and regulatory standards.
  • Resolve disputes or issues with suppliers concerning delivery, quality, or pricing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on procurement-related process improvements.
  • Participate in supplier audits and evaluations to maintain high-quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Engineer or in a similar procurement role.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier contracts effectively.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities are crucial for successful procurement.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and resource planning tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building supplier relationships.
