Job Description

A Quality Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring that products meet the established standards of quality, reliability, and performance. This position involves assessing and inspecting products at various stages of production to confirm they adhere to both company and regulatory standards. The Quality Inspector meticulously examines products for defects, prepares detailed reports of their findings, and collaborates with production teams to address and rectify any quality-related issues. This role is vital in maintaining the integrity of the production process, ensuring customer satisfaction, and minimizing costs associated with defects and returns. A successful Quality Inspector is detail-oriented, analytical, and possesses excellent communication skills to effectively convey findings and recommendations.


Responsibilities

  • Inspect and test products at various stages of production for quality and compliance.
  • Compile and document inspection and test results for reporting purposes.
  • Identify and report deviations from product specifications and standards accurately.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality-related issues and prevent defects.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards precisely.
  • Maintain calibration of measuring and testing equipment to ensure accuracy.
  • Conduct process audits to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Provide training and support to production staff on quality standards and practices.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control policies and procedures.
  • Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement in the quality process.
  • Ensure safety and efficiency in the execution of all quality inspection activities.
  • Prepare and manage documentation required for ISO or equivalent certifications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance roles.
  • Excellent knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills in analyzing product quality.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints accurately.
  • Proficient in using quality inspection tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Good communication skills for reporting findings and recommending actions.
  • Familiarity with process improvement and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Basic knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards is advantageous.
