The Powder Coating Booth Operator is a vital role within the manufacturing and finishing industry, responsible for the preparation, operation, and maintenance of industrial powder coating equipment. Responsibilities

• Operate powder coating equipment to apply industrial powder coatings efficiently and accurately.
• Prepare and maintain spray booths, including cleaning filters and changing settings.
• Select appropriate coating powders based on product specifications and quality standards.
• Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards before and after coating.
• Monitor the curing oven process, adjusting temperatures and settings as necessary.
• Maintain detailed records of coating operations and finished product specifications.
• Conduct regular equipment inspections to ensure proper operation and safety standards.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure the efficient flow of parts through the coating line.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of booth and spraying equipment.
• Implement and adhere to safety standards to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
• Conduct quality control checks to verify that coatings are applied evenly and without defects.
• Communicate with supervisors about equipment needs and supply inventory levels.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is preferred.
• Minimum of two years experience in industrial powder coating operations or similar field.
• Strong understanding of coating equipment, processes, and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and coating requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy parts as required.
