Job Description

An IATA PGS Trainer is a specialized professional responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs within the field of aviation, specifically focusing on the Passenger Ground Services (PGS) subject area. This role is crucial for maintaining and enhancing the skills and knowledge of the personnel involved in ground operations at airports. As an IATA PGS Trainer, you will be responsible for conducting workshops, seminars, and certification courses designed to improve the efficiency, safety, and customer service quality of passenger ground services operations. You will be instrumental in ensuring that training content is up-to-date with the latest industry standards and regulations, thereby equipping participants with the necessary competencies to excel in their roles. This position requires a strong understanding of aviation operations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage and motivate training participants for effective learning outcomes.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging training programs for passenger ground services staff.
  • Ensure training content aligns with IATA standards and industry regulations.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to gauge training effectiveness and competency.
  • Facilitate workshops and seminars to enhance participants' practical skills.
  • Adapt training methods and materials to suit diverse learning needs of participants.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in aviation and ground services.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to trainees for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with industry experts to incorporate best practices into training modules.
  • Organize training schedules and coordinate logistics for seamless program delivery.
  • Assist in the development of online training modules for remote learning options.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities and participants' progress.
  • Support the creation of promotional materials to attract participants to training programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation, education, or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional certification in IATA Passenger Ground Services training is required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in aviation or training roles.
  • Strong knowledge of IATA standards and aviation regulations is essential.
  • Excellent public speaking and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Proven ability to engage and motivate participants in training environments.
  • Proficient in using online training tools and virtual meeting platforms.
