Job Description

The Front Desk Clerk serves as the first point of contact for guests at our establishment. This role is pivotal in creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere for all visitors. The primary responsibilities include managing reservations, processing check-ins and check-outs, and handling guest inquiries efficiently. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Front Desk Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring guest satisfaction by providing outstanding service and solving issues promptly. This position requires a courteous demeanor and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of hospitality.


Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and ensure a positive first impression.
  • Manage and coordinate room reservations, including cancellations and modifications.
  • Process guest check-ins efficiently, ensuring all information is accurately recorded.
  • Handle check-out procedures promptly, addressing any billing inquiries or disputes.
  • Assist guests with inquiries about amenities, services, and local attractions.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness and cleanliness.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area, adhering to company standards.
  • Respond to phone calls and emails professionally, providing accurate information.
  • Monitor guest accounts and process payments accurately to avoid discrepancies.
  • Address guest complaints or concerns, escalating issues to management as needed.
  • Ensure the security of guest information, adhering to privacy and safety protocols.
  • Provide concierge services, including booking transportation and dining reservations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are mandatory.
  • Proficiency with computer software, including MS Office and reservation systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong multitasking skills and the ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
  • A friendly and courteous demeanor with a focus on providing excellent service.
