Job Description

The Catering Supervisor is a pivotal role within the hospitality industry, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of catering services for events and establishments. This position requires a dynamic individual who can manage diverse teams and oversee the preparation and delivery of food and beverages to customers. The Catering Supervisor must have excellent organizational skills to coordinate all aspects of catering service, from production to guest satisfaction. Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of catering staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Work closely with chefs to develop menus that meet client expectations and dietary requirements.
  • Ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met.
  • Oversee inventory management to ensure adequate supplies for upcoming events.
  • Develop relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide custom solutions.
  • Monitor the quality of food and beverages served to maintain high standards.
  • Plan and execute catering events, ensuring all details are attended to meticulously.
  • Prepare and manage the catering budget to meet company financial objectives.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure venues are properly set up for events.
  • Handle any arising issues or complaints with professionalism and promptness.
  • Regularly report on catering operations and financial performance to management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the catering or hospitality industry.
