The Assistant Manager (QA and UAT) plays a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products and services. This position is responsible for managing the Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes to ensure that products meet the required standards before they are released to the market. The role encompasses overseeing testing activities, coordinating with various teams, and developing strategies to improve testing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both QA and UAT methodologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail. They will also possess the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and liaise with stakeholders to deliver superior solutions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the entire QA and UAT teams ensuring quality standards.
• Develop and implement robust QA and UAT strategies and processes.
• Coordinate with development and product teams to understand testing requirements.
• Review and analyze system specifications to determine testability of products.
• Prepare detailed and comprehensive test plans and test cases for projects.
• Facilitate the efficient execution of both manual and automated test scripts.
• Ensure all testing activities comply with company standards and client expectations.
• Identify, document, and track defects and issues using standard tools.
• Collaborate with IT and project managers to ensure smooth deployment process.
• Provide guidance and support to team members to enhance their testing skills.
• Generate and present reports on testing progress and outcomes to stakeholders.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve testing efficiencies and methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in QA and/or UAT within a software environment.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and QA methodologies.
• Proficiency in using testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, or equivalent.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking abilities required.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
