Job Description

The Sales Officer is responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies that drive business growth and increase the company's customer base. This role involves managing and nurturing relationships with existing clients, as well as identifying and securing new business opportunities. The Sales Officer is expected to have a deep understanding of the market dynamics and industry trends, which will help in crafting targeted sales initiatives to ensure the company's competitive edge. A successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a persuasive demeanor, and a results-driven approach to achieving sales targets. Additionally, the Sales Officer will be required to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of sales and market strategies with company goals.


Responsibilities

  • Identify new sales leads and pitch products or services to potential customers.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
  • Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products or services.
  • Negotiate and close deals, handling objections and concerns from customers.
  • Meet sales targets as set by the department and improve sales performance.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments within the company.
  • Monitor competitors' activities and market trends to identify business opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and customer records using CRM software tools.
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and sales meetings as required.
  • Provide feedback to management on customer needs, problems, interests, and market developments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales or business development role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for this position.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and close deals effectively.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and an aptitude for learning new systems.
  • Ability to work independently, while also contributing to team initiatives.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
