Job Description

The Sales Manager plays a critical role in driving revenue generation and growth for an organization. This position requires a strategic thinker who can leverage insights and data to make informed decisions and set achievable targets. A Sales Manager must possess exceptional leadership skills to motivate a diverse sales team, implement effective sales techniques, and enhance team performance. They are responsible for managing sales operations, setting monthly and yearly goals, and ensuring those objectives are met. Successful candidates must have a firm understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitor strategies. An effective Sales Manager builds and maintains strong client relationships, ensures customer satisfaction, and serves as a company advocate to increase market presence and brand awareness.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand customer base.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Establish and adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
  • Recruit, hire, and train new sales representatives as well as develop existing team members.
  • Manage and oversee all sales activities within the organization to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
  • Develop and coordinate the delivery of sales presentations, proposals, and marketing strategies.
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting to inform business strategy and planning.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth implementation of sales strategies.
  • Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity to provide feedback to the company leadership.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts and reports to senior management.
  • Lead team meetings and conduct sales call coaching for performance improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field required.
  • Proven experience in sales, marketing and managing relationships with key clients.
  • At least five years of experience in sales management or a related role.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and motivate a sales team.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing strategic and business plans for sales growth.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry and market trends to maintain a competitive edge.
