QA Analyst - IT (225-820)

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans and test cases for software applications.
• Identify, document, and track software defects to resolution using bug tracking tools.
• Collaborate with development and business teams to understand requirements and suggest improvements.
• Perform regression testing and validate software functionality before release.
• Utilize automated testing tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test documentation and reports.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for better quality assurance processes.
• Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing to confirm software performance.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and emerging testing methodologies.
• Mentor less experienced QA personnel to build a strong QA team.
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards and procedures in software testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a QA Analyst or similar quality assurance role in IT.
• Familiarity with test management software, such as JIRA or TestRail.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose software issues.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information and collaborate.
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium or QTP is desirable.
