Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Optometrist to join our dynamic team. As an Optometrist, you will utilize your expertise to provide comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose visual problems or impairments, prescribe corrective lenses, and provide essential education to patients about proper eye care. You will work with advanced diagnostic equipment and be responsible for addressing a variety of vision-related issues, ensuring that every patient receives high-quality care tailored to their individual needs. Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations for patients of all age groups.
  • Diagnose visual conditions, such as myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism.
  • Prescribe corrective lenses, including glasses and contact lenses for patients.
  • Provide pre- and post-operative eye care and co-manage ocular diseases.
  • Maintain detailed patient records, documenting treatments and diagnostics.
  • Educate patients on proper eye care and safety measures to prevent vision loss.
  • Recommend appropriate follow-up appointments or treatments for ongoing care.
  • Stay updated with current trends and research in optometry and eye health.
  • Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other health professionals for comprehensive care.
  • Manage and maintain optometric equipment to ensure effective operation.
  • Conduct community outreach programs to promote better eye health awareness.
  • Adhere to privacy compliance and optometric practice standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.
  • State-issued license to practice optometry in accordance with local regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and treating ocular conditions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for patient interaction and education.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a healthcare team.
  • Proficiency in using optometric diagnostic equipment and technology.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
