Job Description

The Maintenance Executive plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the maintenance operations within an organization. This position involves ensuring that facilities are well-maintained, secure, and operating efficiently. The Maintenance Executive is responsible for developing maintenance procedures and ensuring implementation. This position requires a strong understanding of both hardware and software maintenance, along with excellent problem-solving skills. The role demands a proactive individual capable of managing various maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and liaising with various departments to facilitate efficient operations. This position is fundamental in preventing interruptions in the organization’s production process and contributes significantly to resource optimization and cost savings.


Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate all installation and maintenance activities within the organization.
  • Develop maintenance procedures and ensure their rigorous implementation across the team.
  • Inspect facilities periodically to determine maintenance needs and address them promptly.
  • Oversee all repair work to ensure quality and conformity to safety standards.
  • Coordinate the recruitment, evaluation, and training of the maintenance staff and contractors.
  • Manage relationships with contractors and service providers for timely service delivery.
  • Analyze and report on maintenance issues with recommendations for improvement strategies.
  • Maintain records and prepare detailed maintenance reports for management reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Budget and manage financial decisions relating to the maintenance department's priorities.
  • Oversee inventory management and ordering of materials and equipment as needed.
  • Respond promptly to urgent maintenance calls and allocate resources as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Executive or in a similar managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and processes.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities are essential.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management software and tools for task scheduling.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
