Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming and positive experience.
• Perform transactions accurately including cash, check, or credit card payments.
• Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift with precision.
• Provide receipts and handle any customer inquiries efficiently and politely.
• Assist customers with any product or promotional questions they may have.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area and check-out spaces.
• Operate cash register and other technological systems required for transactions.
• Coordinate with team members to execute daily tasks and enhance workflow.
• Identify price discrepancies and resolve them, or escalate to supervisors when necessary.
• Ensure secure storing and handling of all cash, checks, and credit card transfers.
• Adhere to store policies and procedures regarding sales transactions and returns.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including counting the day's take-home sales.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent educational qualification is necessary.
• Previous experience as a cashier or similar role is an asset.
• Strong mathematical abilities are essential for accurate cash handling.
• Proficient with cashier machine operations and other transactional tools.
