Job Description

As a Dental Assistant, you will play a critical role in the effectiveness and efficiency of our dental practice. Your primary role will be to provide superior patient care while assisting dentists during dental procedures. You will also be responsible for preparing the treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are available, and maintaining a clean and sterile environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate, detail-oriented professional to be part of a dynamic dental team, possess excellent communication skills, and have a passion for promoting oral health care. Dental Assistants must be dedicated to delivering high-quality care and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout various dental procedures.


Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists accurately during various dental procedures and treatments.
  • Prepare treatment rooms ensuring all equipment and supplies are readily available.
  • Sterilize dental instruments and maintain sterilization equipment in the clinic.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with appropriate technical skill.
  • Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral healthcare procedures.
  • Document patient dental treatment information, maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensure all dental instruments and chairs are in excellent condition.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing the dental calendar efficiently.
  • Provide support in handling medical emergencies, following clinical protocols.
  • Ensure patient comfort and manage their anxieties during dental procedures.
  • Order dental office supplies and keep inventory levels up to date.
  • Maintain a clean and organized dental work environment throughout the day.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a reputed dental practice.
  • Comprehensive understanding of dental instrumentation and clinic procedures.
  • Knowledge of dental software and patient management systems is beneficial.
  • Strong communication abilities, both verbal and non-verbal, with patients.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Current CPR certification and adherence to safety protocols in dentistry.
