Job Description

The Exports Sales Manager plays a critical role in the success of a company's global trade operations. This pivotal position involves developing and implementing international sales strategies to drive profit and market share expansion across diverse markets. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of international trade regulations and logistics, as well as a proven track record in sales and business development. He or she will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, building long-lasting relationships with overseas clients, and ensuring that export sales meet and exceed targets. The Exports Sales Manager should be a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and a passion for growing business on a global scale. They must also be adaptable, able to navigate complex environments, and willing to travel extensively to grow international relationships and networks.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement export sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in international markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with overseas clients and partners.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts with international customers and distributors.
  • Analyze market trends and adjust sales tactics to maximize revenue growth.
  • Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient order fulfillment.
  • Monitor and report on export sales performance against targets and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with marketing to tailor campaigns for international audiences.
  • Stay updated on global trade regulations and ensure compliance in export activities.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, projections, and reports to senior management.
  • Lead and mentor the export sales team to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Attend international trade shows and conferences to promote company products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in export sales management roles.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets internationally.
  • Strong understanding of global trade regulations and market entry strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills with a multicultural sensitivity.
  • Ability to travel internationally as required to support business objectives.
  • Proficiency in foreign languages is a plus, but not mandatory.
