Job Description

The Supply Chain Operations Associate plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operations within the supply chain management system of an organization. This position demands an individual adept in logistical planning, inventory management, and collaboration with multiple departments to ensure efficient flow of goods and services from suppliers to end-users. The Supply Chain Operations Associate is responsible for optimizing operations to reduce costs and improve efficiency and effectiveness in the supply chain processes. This role is suitable for individuals who are analytical, detail-oriented, and possess excellent problem-solving capabilities. Success in this position requires strong communication skills to liaise between vendors, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring that all processes are executed smoothly according to company standards and policies.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage logistics operations ensuring efficient transportation of goods.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages and excess stock accumulation.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers to manage and resolve supply chain disruptions.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics to drive improvement in operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure supply chain alignment with business goals.
  • Implement supply chain improvement strategies to enhance process efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and company policies in supply chain activities.
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify and mitigate potential risks proactively.
  • Manage and process order shipments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Support negotiation with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and pricing.
  • Handle customer queries and issues pertaining to supply chain processes professionally.
  • Prepare reports and documentation to support senior management decision-making processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field required.
  • Proven experience in supply chain operations or a similar logistical role.
  • Strong proficiency in supply chain management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on process optimization and cost reduction.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in the supply chain environment effectively.
