Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications using AutoCAD software accurately.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure coherence in design plans.
• Review and modify existing designs to maintain compliance with codes and standards.
• Prepare engineering drawings from rough sketches or from general engineering and design information.
• Ensuring accurate and timely completion of all assigned projects and documentation.
• Attend project meetings to discuss designs and updates with project teams.
• Maintain an up-to-date library of AutoCAD blocks and templates for efficiency.
• Follow and enforce consistent drafting standards to maintain project continuity.
• Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information and providing solutions.
• Assist with the preparation of technical reports and project documentation as required.
• Regularly update job and project status to relevant stakeholders and managers.
• Continue professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience working as an AutoCAD Draughtsman or in a similar role.
• Proficient in AutoCAD software, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Solid understanding of engineering and architectural principles and design concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to develop practical design solutions.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with engineers and architects.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling software is considered an additional advantage.
