The IT Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining an organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring the seamless operation of systems and networks. Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage all installed systems and infrastructure for optimal usage.
• Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
• Automate tasks through appropriate scripting and development of new processes.
• Oversee and control the maintenance of data center facilities and their security protocols.
• Ensure compliance with software licensing and legal requirements by maintaining accurate documentation.
• Evaluate and implement security measures, such as firewalls and data encryption, to protect data.
• Provide detailed documentation and training for IT processes and systems to ensure user understanding.
• Coordinate with the IT team for the development and implementation of improvement strategies.
• Act as a liaison between end users and higher-level support, escalating issues as necessary.
• Maintain strong communication with vendors to facilitate software updates and issues resolution.
• Develop and implement disaster recovery plans and backup procedures to ensure data integrity.
• Continuously research and remain updated on latest technology trends and tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as an IT Operations Specialist or in a similar IT role.
• In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, systems software, and networking.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices for IT operations and services management.
