Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Collection Executive to join our financial team. The Collection Executive will primarily be responsible for managing overdue accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining excellent customer relationships. This role requires an individual with strong communication skills, the ability to negotiate effectively, and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have a background in finance or accounting, experience in collections, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service. As a Collection Executive, you will play a critical role in our financial operations by helping the company maintain a healthy cash flow and minimize bad debt exposure.


Responsibilities

  • Monitor customer accounts and identify overdue payments requiring follow-up actions.
  • Contact debtors via phone, email, or in-person to initiate payment arrangements.
  • Negotiate payment plans with clients to recover delinquent accounts effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and communications with clients.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to update account status and payment collections.
  • Prepare and dispatch monthly account statements to debtors in a timely manner.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in billing or payment processes swiftly.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements in collections.
  • Utilize standard operating procedures for processing financial information accurately.
  • Generate periodic reports on collection status and outstanding debts for management review.
  • Develop strategies to improve collection rates and reduce overall delinquency levels.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and concerns regarding their accounts or payments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.
  • Proven experience in collections or account recovery for a minimum of two years.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage conflicts effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
  • Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office applications efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations in credit and collection processes.
