Service Engineer- Electrical (225-829)

A Service Engineer specializing in electrical systems plays a critical role in ensuring that electrical equipment and systems operate efficiently and safely. This position requires expertise in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues, performing regular maintenance, and ensuring that all compliance and safety standards are met. The Service Engineer will interact with clients to understand their needs, provide technical support, and suggest necessary upgrades or modifications to enhance system performance. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues effectively and efficiently in various systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and systems.
• Conduct detailed inspections and tests to ensure equipment complies with safety standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding electrical system operations.
• Maintain comprehensive records of services performed and prepare detailed technical reports.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize electrical system performance and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company-specific safety guidelines and procedures.
• Manage and respond promptly to service requests ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
• Develop and implement electrical system improvement plans for enhanced operational efficiency.
• Train junior engineers and technicians on best practices and safety procedures.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors to procure necessary electrical parts and materials.
• Evaluate new technologies and innovations for potential application in client systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Electrical Service Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and testing equipment.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with a track record of effective problem-solving.
• Familiarity with compliance requirements and safety standards in electrical engineering.
• Capable of interpreting and using technical diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
• Willingness to travel for on-site maintenance and customer support as needed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in high-pressure environments.
