A Service Engineer - Electrical is a vital role within the field service team, responsible for providing high-quality support and maintenance to electrical systems and equipment. This role involves installing, servicing, and repairing electrical machinery, and ensuring that all equipment functions efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in electrical engineering, combined with problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues on-site. This position requires regular travel to clients' locations and effective communication to liaise with clients and internal teams. A Service Engineer - Electrical ensures compliance with industry standards and regulations, aiming to exceed customer satisfaction and contribute to the company’s growth.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair tasks on electrical equipment and systems.
• Analyze and diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement appropriate solutions.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their electrical service needs and provide solutions.
• Maintain detailed records of service visits, equipment status, and completed work.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies during all field operations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers and junior technicians.
• Prepare and submit service reports following each site visit to document activities.
• Conduct routine inspections and prepare maintenance schedules to prevent equipment downtime.
• Stay updated with industry advancements and integrate new technologies into service processes.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition.
• Communicate effectively with the engineering team to resolve complex technical issues.
• Assist in the training and development of service staff and apprentices as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Service Engineer working with electrical systems and machinery.
• Strong understanding and application of electrical engineering principles and standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and address complex equipment issues.
• Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate effectively with team members.
• Willingness to travel frequently for on-site service assignments and client visits.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to assess electrical systems.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required for field assignments.
