Job Description

As an MEP Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within various facilities. Your expertise in MEP systems, technical troubleshooting, and maintenance will contribute to maintaining safe and comfortable environments for occupants.


Responsibilities:


  • Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in buildings.
  • Monitor system performance and identify issues or potential problems.
  • Maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, including troubleshooting and repairing cooling and heating units.
  • Ensure optimal indoor air quality and temperature control.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, panels, and wiring systems.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults and malfunctions.
  • Inspect, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and drainage systems.
  • Address leaks, blockages, and water supply issues.
  • Respond to emergency repair requests promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • Work efficiently to restore MEP systems to operational status.
  • Diagnose complex technical issues in MEP systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and protocols while performing maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Ensure that all MEP systems meet safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and replacements.
  • Document completed tasks and provide reports to supervisors.
  • Calibrate and adjust MEP equipment to ensure accurate operation and energy efficiency.
  • Replace faulty components as needed.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.
  • Ensure vendor work meets quality standards and deadlines.
  • Identify opportunities for energy conservation and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and maintenance personnel to address facility-wide maintenance needs.

  • Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical.
  • Proven experience as an MEP Technician or similar role in the UAE.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing components.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Technical expertise in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, meters, and hand tools.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members, vendors, and supervisors.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting maintenance activities.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to work in various environmental conditions.
  • Flexibility to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages such as Arabic is advantageous.
