Laser Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Technician to join our team. As a Laser Technician, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting laser systems used in our organization's processes and projects.

• Operate laser systems and equipment, ensuring safe and precise beam control.
• Monitor and adjust laser parameters for optimal performance.
• Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and alignment of laser systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines for laser operation.
• Ensure that safety measures are in place to protect personnel and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with laser systems and components.
• Perform repairs and replacements as needed to minimize downtime.
• Conduct quality control checks to verify the accuracy and consistency of laser outputs.
• Document and report any deviations or irregularities.
• Maintain an inventory of laser components, spare parts, and supplies.
• Order and replenish supplies as necessary.
• Record and maintain detailed logs and records of laser system operations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Prepare reports and documentation as required.
• Provide training and guidance to staff members on laser safety and operation.
• Offer technical support and expertise to colleagues and collaborators.

• Associate degree or certification in Laser Technology, Optics, or a related field (Bachelor's degree is a plus).
• Proven experience as a Laser Technician or in a similar role, preferably in an industrial or research setting.
• Knowledge of laser safety protocols and regulations.
• Familiarity with various types of lasers and laser applications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in using laser test and measurement equipment.
