HVAC Technician (225-815)

As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. You will examine and test these systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings, ensuring they adhere to safety and efficiency standards. Your expertise will be essential in troubleshooting and resolving system malfunctions quickly and effectively. Whether you're performing scheduled maintenance or emergency repairs, your role is crucial in ensuring our clients have reliable heating and cooling systems. You will also be expected to educate customers on the maintenance and functioning of HVAC systems, thereby enhancing their longevity and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Install HVAC systems following established protocols and safety standards.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure optimal system performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues and faults in HVAC systems promptly.
• Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring in HVAC systems.
• Consult with clients to determine their heating, cooling, and ventilation needs.
• Maintain detailed service records and logs of all maintenance work performed.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations for HVAC operations.
• Calibrate thermometers, thermostats, and other measuring instruments correctly.
• Provide expert advice on improving system efficiency and reducing energy consumption.
• Collaborate with team members on large-scale projects and system overhauls.
• Stay updated on the latest industry developments, techniques, and best practices.
• Educate clients on proper maintenance and system operation for optimal performance.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or in a similar role.
• Valid technician license for HVAC systems in the applicable jurisdiction.
• Strong understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
• Competency in reading blueprints and understanding industrial HVAC system designs.
• Ability to work in tight and high-temperature environments safely.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in handling repairs.
• Good physical condition and the ability to lift heavy equipment when necessary.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
• Certification in Refrigeration or related fields is an added advantage.
