Alpha Flight Services, part of dnata, provide culinary and inflight retail services to a wide range of airline customers and operate food and beverage outlets and airport lounges at Sharjah International Airport and Ras Al-Khaimah Airport.
As Head of Commercial at Alpha Flight Services, you will be responsible for leading and managing all commercial activities of the company. Your primary focus will be to develop, implement, and oversee an integrated commercial strategy aimed at increasing revenue and yield for the business, as well as managing the key relationship with strategic airline customers & Stakeholders. Exceptional customer service skills are essential in ensuring the success of this role.
In This Role, You Will
Collaborate with the Managing Director to develop and execute a robust commercial, sales, and marketing strategy that drives revenue growth across all business verticals—BOB, BOL, Inflight Retail, F&B outlets, hotels, and lounges.
Lead customer profitability analysis to identify growth opportunities and improve yield across the business.
Establish and embed a Strategic Account Management framework to strengthen key relationships with airline, airport, and hospitality clients (e.g., Air Arabia, Sharjah and RAK airports).
Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships to diversify revenue.
Manage Key account relationships: Act as the primary point of contact for key airline customers and airport stakeholders (Sharjah & RAK)
Oversee and enhance all onboard and outlet retail initiatives—menu strategy, pricing, product mix, and promotions.
Expand F&B retail footprint across lounges, hotels, and terminal outlets.
Establish competitive pricing strategies and ensure pricing is aligned with market trends and company objectives.
Collaborate with the MD and group legal department to negotiate, review and finalise new and renewed contracts to ensure that dnata maintains its competitive advantage and leverages on the operations.
Qualification
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
A minimum of 6 years experience in the airline catering, and developing marketing, sales and commercial strategies.
A minimum of 5 years experience at management level.
You Will Have An Edge, If You Have
Familiarity with the aviation industry, inflight catering, and retail operations is preferred.
Working knowledge of Salesforce (CRM).
Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to review and assess contractual risks.
Experience in managing on-board retail programs, including menu planning, sales strategies, and crew engagement.
