CNC Machinist

The CNC Machinist is responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision components according to technical drawings and specifications. This role involves setting up machines, monitoring operations, performing quality checks, and making adjustments as needed to ensure accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate should have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience with CNC equipment and tools in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

Operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.) to manufacture metal and plastic components.

Set up and program CNC machines using G-code or CAM software.

Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints for part production.

Measure finished products to ensure they meet specifications.

Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment and tools.

Troubleshoot machine issues and perform necessary adjustments.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the machining area.

Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.

Document production activities and maintain accurate records.

Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams.

Requirements:

Technical diploma or certification in machining or manufacturing.

3+ years of experience operating CNC machines.

Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring tools.

Familiarity with CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens).

Knowledge of machining materials and cutting tools.

Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.

Good understanding of safety practices in manufacturing.

Basic computer literacy and ability to input production data.

Willingness to work shifts or overtime if needed.
