Job Description

The Assistant Sales Manager is a crucial role within our sales department, responsible for supporting the Sales Manager in leading the sales team to achieve set targets and goals. This position requires an individual with excellent leadership skills, a strong understanding of sales strategies, and the ability to mentor and motivate sales personnel. The Assistant Sales Manager will aid in crafting sales plans, coordinating sales operations, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. This is a hands-on role that demands an individual capable of driving sales performance, maintaining customer relationships, and enhancing the sales framework to contribute to the company's overall growth and success.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve organizational targets.
  • Support the Sales Manager in overseeing daily operations of the sales staff.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify sales opportunities.
  • Participate in setting sales goals and objectives with the sales team.
  • Collaborate with marketing to plan and execute promotional activities.
  • Manage key customer accounts to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Monitor sales metrics and report performance to the Senior Management.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate sales representatives to enhance their performance.
  • Handle client inquiries and resolve complaints in a timely manner.
  • Engage in sales forecasting and budgeting to align with company goals.
  • Participate in hiring and training new sales staff when required.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the industry and competitive products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a sales role, preferably in a supervisory position.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and lead a team effectively.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate insightful sales reports and forecasts.
