The Warehouse Assistant is a vital component of the logistics and supply chain operations, responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods in and out of the warehouse. Responsibilities

  • Receive and process incoming shipments with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure easy access and retrieval.
  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule.
  • Perform inventory control checks to maintain accuracy and decrease shrinkage.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment to comply with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other warehouse team members to fulfill customer needs.
  • Operate warehouse vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently at all times.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks and shipment containers.
  • Conduct regular equipment inspections to ensure operational readiness.
  • Record details of stock movements, adjustments, and discrepancies accurately.
  • Follow all company policies and standards while maintaining strong work ethics.
  • Provide support in conducting periodic physical inventory audits as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification is typically required.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and inventory management software.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy packages and items regularly.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in teams.
