Video Editor (225-901)

We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to join our dynamic media team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for visual storytelling and a keen eye for detail. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling recorded footage into a finished project that matches the director’s vision and is suitable for broadcasting. You will work closely with our team of creatives, including videographers, producers, and graphic designers, to bring video concepts to life. Your ability to create compelling video content that grabs the viewer's attention and enhances the story being told is essential. As a Video Editor, you will be expected to manage your time efficiently, meet deadlines, and consistently deliver high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with video producers and directors to understand production goals and objectives.
• Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value.
• Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the video effectively.
• Input music, dialogue, graphics, and effects to enhance video projects.
• Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running of video edits.
• Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process regarding video content.
• Create rough and final cuts of filmed projects with precision and accuracy.
• Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies to maximize efficiency.
• Monitor and manage video content archives and deadlines diligently.
• Work with creative teams to conceptualize and execute video ideas and campaigns.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in video editing.

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Video Editor or similar role in the industry.
• Solid experience with digital technology and video editing software packages.
• Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio of previous work.
• Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and video continuity.
• Creative mind and storytelling skills to bring the project’s vision to life.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with a creative team.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
