Job Purpose
- Responsible for collecting, validating, organizing, and analyzing technical data from petroleum exploration and production activities.
- Support Geoscientists, Reservoir Engineers, Drilling Teams, and other stakeholders by ensuring accurate and accessible technical data to drive decision-making and operational efficiency.
Job Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and organize technical data such as well logs, seismic data, production data, drilling reports, and reservoir models to implement Well, Reservoir and Facility Management (WRFM) system.
- Integrate data from multiple sources (internal databases, vendors, regulatory agencies).
- Analyze subsurface and surface data to support reservoir evaluations, field development planning, and production optimization.
- Generate technical reports, dashboards, and visualizations for engineers, geologists, and executives.
- Support and maintain technical software and databases (e.g., Petrel, Open Works, Studio, Techlog, ProSource).
- Assist in the design and implementation of data workflows and digital solutions.
- Work closely with geoscience, drilling, reservoir, and production teams to understand data requirement.
- Provide training and user support on data access tools and data quality procedures.
- Collaborate with IT and data governance teams to align data architecture and security protocols.
Education
- Bachelor’s in Petroleum Engineering or Geoscience
- Average 5 years’ relevant experience (Oil & Gas experience is preferred).
