Job Overview

Hartland International School seeks to appoint an exceptional Teacher of Digital Literacy and Computing in the primary phase of our school to support our provision across this phase of upper primary.

The Post

Successful candidates will be established primary classroom practitioners who share a love for digital learning and will have gained skills and experience in using technology to enhance and enrich learning outcomes for all students. Working across the primary phase with teachers in a collaborative way, you will identify opportunities to deliver the computing curriculum through integrated learning experiences as well as discrete teaching. With a proactive desire to explore and harness new and emerging technologies, you will contribute to staff development and work with leaders to shape the school’s curricular offer, including contribution to Hartland’s primary enrichment programme. As a new position within the school, the successful candidate will have opportunity and support to shape their role and remit with future potential to develop middle leadership responsibility.

The Successful Candidate Will

  • Hold a relevant degree and teaching qualification
  • Have a minimum of three years’ teaching experience within the primary age range
  • Possess a passion, knowledge and understanding of enhancing learning with modern and emerging technologies to affect both lesson and curriculum design
  • Demonstrate a secure knowledge and understanding of the computing programme of study in the National Curriculum for England.
  • Be a collaborative, inspiring and supportive colleague working with class teachers in a cross- curricular capacity
