Speech and Language Therapist

Kings’ School Dubai is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our outstanding team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a thriving, outstanding, and well-resourced British curriculum school in the heart of Dubai.

Our school caters to children aged 3–11 and is committed to inclusive education and the highest standards of pastoral care. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting pupils with speech, language, and communication needs, while also contributing to whole-school development and staff training.

The Role Will Involve

  • Delivering high-quality therapy to students across Foundation Stage to Year 6 with a variety of speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Developing and implementing SMART, evidence-based therapy plans and progress reports.
  • Working collaboratively with class teachers, Inclusion staff and school leaders to integrate therapy into the curriculum.
  • Providing training and support for teaching and support staff on communication strategies and inclusive practices.
  • Building strong, supportive relationships with families to guide and engage them in the therapy process.
  • Actively participating in school life and contributing to the broader Kings’ School community.
  • Collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic, child-centred support.
  • Plan and create tailored communication resources and visual supports to enhance access to learning and therapy goals across different settings.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Current DHA registration or eligibility for licensing in Dubai (essential).
  • A minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally in a school or paediatric setting.
  • Proven experience working with a wide age range and a variety of speech and language needs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills.
  • A flexible, proactive, and nurturing approach to supporting children and working with families.
  • A passion for inclusion and a commitment to contributing to a dynamic, innovative school culture.
  • Experience in using visual and multi-modal approaches such as Colourful Semantics, Makaton, and a range of evidence-based language intervention programmes to support diverse communication needs.
  • Experience creating detailed student records and track therapy outcomes to support ongoing planning
