We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as Head of Admissions / Registrar.
The Role
The Head of Admissions / Registrar is a key member of the school team, responsible for leading and managing the admissions process with sensitivity and professionalism. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage positively with parents and families, ensuring their cultural values and expectations are understood and respected. Building strong, trusting relationships with parents, staff, and the wider community is at the heart of this role.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full admissions cycle from enquiry to enrolment across all year groups (FS to Year 13).
Provide a welcoming, supportive, and culturally sensitive experience for all prospective families.
Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, ensuring open communication and trust throughout the admissions journey.
Conduct school tours and communicate the school’s values clearly and professionally.
Maintain fully up-to-date admissions and student databases, ensuring accuracy at all times.
Work closely with the Finance/Accounts team to ensure all enrolment and re-enrolment records are accurate and aligned.
Provide regular feedback and updates on student numbers, trends, and admissions data to senior management.
Arrange and organise open events with local nurseries to build community links.
Coordinate and attend external marketing and promotional events, acting as the main point of contact throughout.
Plan and support internal open days, providing full assistance on the day while acting as the main point of focus for prospective families.
Collaborate with the Principal, SLT, and Marketing team to develop and implement strategies to meet enrolment targets.
Ensure compliance with all school policies and local regulatory requirements (e.g. ADEK, KHDA, MOE, or relevant authority).
Be available to work during the summer holidays to support admissions and ensure a smooth start to the academic year.
Requirements
Proven experience in school admissions, registrar work, or a related role within education.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage sensitively and effectively with parents.
Awareness and respect for cultural values, with the ability to represent the school positively.
Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong IT skills, with experience managing databases and producing accurate reports.
A professional, approachable, and solutions-focused attitude.
Willingness to work flexibly, including during school holiday periods.
