Job Description

The Site Supervisor - Interior Fit Out plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing interior construction projects to ensure that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. The position requires a proactive individual with the ability to coordinate various aspects of the construction process, from initial planning to project completion. This role involves working closely with architects, designers, construction workers, and clients, ensuring that all elements of the project align with the client's vision and contractual agreements. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills, capable of effectively managing teams and facilitating problem-solving initiatives on site.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations, manage resources, and ensure adherence to project timelines.
  • Coordinate and supervise on-site trade teams to execute interior fit out tasks efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on all project sites.
  • Monitor and report on progress, dealing with any issues that arise promptly.
  • Liaise with clients to understand project requirements and meet their expectations.
  • Control project costs by verifying and approving invoices and supplier accounts.
  • Maintain high quality standards by conducting regular inspections of work performed.
  • Conduct site meetings with architects, engineers, and designers to resolve design issues.
  • Manage materials ordering and schedules to prevent work interruptions on site.
  • Ensure site staff adhere to company policies and procedures consistently.
  • Provide daily reports on work progress, incidents, and general site activities.
  • Implement project changes after receiving client approval and revising project plans.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in site supervision, particularly in interior fit out projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction and fit out processes and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to address and resolve project challenges effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools for efficient task execution.
  • Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with teams and stakeholders.
  • Certification or diploma in construction management or a related field is preferred.
