Job Description

FADA is seeking a Senior Space Systems Engineer with a passion for innovation and a drive to shape the future of space missions. In this role, you’ll collaborate with customers and multidisciplinary teams to transform operational needs into cutting-edge space capabilities, through the full mission lifecycle.

You will conduct and lead systems engineering efforts using industry standards such as ISO 15288:2023, INCOSE, ECSS, and NASA frameworks, ensuring robust architecture, requirements management, and mission success.

Key Accountabilities

  • Stakeholder engagement particularly the communication of complex technical engineering concepts.
  • MBSE supported complex systems engineering. System architecture definition, functional, logical and physical architecture definition and transformation.
  • MBSE tools and environment establishment and configuration management.
  • Requirements management and requirements transformation into the system domain.

Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder engagement particularly the communication of complex technical engineering concepts.
  • MBSE supported complex systems engineering. System architecture definition, functional, logical and physical architecture definition and transformation.
  • MBSE tools and environment establishment and configuration management.
  • Requirements management and requirements transformation into the system domain.
  • Stakeholder engagement particularly the communication of complex technical engineering concepts.
  • Transformation of customer needs into system requirements and architectures.
  • Participate in the full lifecycle of space system development.
  • Develop and maintain system architecture, interface control documents (ICDs), and system specifications.
  • Perform trade studies, risk assessments, and performance analyses to support design decisions.
  • Support integration and testing of hardware and software components in lab and field environments.
  • Collaborate with platform, subsystem and ground segment engineers to ensure cohesive system design.
  • Contribute to mission planning, simulation, and operations support.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and customer requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Masters degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in space systems engineering or a related aerospace role.
  • Preferred to equivalent
    • INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional.
    • Engineering chartership in your home country.
