Job Description

The Senior Presales Manager plays a critical role in driving the sales performance of a company by providing in-depth technical knowledge and business insights to potential clients and the sales team. As a crucial part of the sales cycle, this role involves understanding client needs, identifying solutions within the product portfolio, and articulating the technical and business benefits of those solutions. This position acts as both a technical lead and a strategic consultant, ensuring that the proposed solution perfectly aligns with client expectations while being viable and profitable for the organization. The Senior Presales Manager not only supports the sales force but also collaborates closely with product development and marketing teams to ensure consistency between client feedback and product innovation. With a mix of technical acumen, industry expertise, and customer-centric selling skills, the Senior Presales Manager is pivotal in securing deals and reinforcing customer relationships.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand client requirements and offer tailored solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and articulate the benefits of solutions to potential clients.
  • Design and deliver compelling product presentations and demonstrations to clients.
  • Engage in open communication with clients to gather detailed product requirements.
  • Assist in the creation of custom proof-of-concept solutions for client evaluation.
  • Work closely with the product team to ensure alignment of client needs and product offerings.
  • Develop proposals and respond to RFPs with comprehensive technical details.
  • Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and competitor offerings.
  • Coach and mentor junior presales team members to enhance team expertise.
  • Liaise with marketing to align product messaging with market demand.
  • Ensure a smooth transition from presales to implementation for new projects.
  • Participate in sales strategy meetings and contribute to overall sales planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in a presales or technical sales role.
  • Proven expertise in crafting and delivering extraordinary sales presentations.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience within the relevant industry sector.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and with clients.
  • A strong record of successful project management within a sales context.
