Senior Finance Compliance Specialist - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

The successful candidate will deliver finance compliance reviews and validations for EK outstations & dnata entities. As part of these reviews, provide management with guidance and independent appraisal of the effectiveness of risk management, the control environment and governance across outstations and entities.

In This Role, You Will

• Deliver finance compliance reviews and validations with a view to providing management with an independent appraisal of the effectiveness of the control environment, the risk management and governance across outstations and entities.
• Identify the strengths, weaknesses and risks at the outstations and dnata entities; agree an action plan with responsibilities and target dates to address the areas of concerns. Proactively advise and assist management in the mitigation of risks, as well as in achieving protection and efficient utilisation of corporate resources.
• Collaborate with colleagues in the Finance Strategic Centre & ePayments team in delivering the review strategy and implementing the plan including the frequency of such reviews and validations.
• Collaborate regularly with colleagues in reviewing the policy and procedures documents as well as the Control Self-Assessment program and propose suggestions and improvements to ensure the frameworks are aligned to the business? objectives.
• Support in identifying areas for process/system improvements and opportunities to better utilise existing Group Data; undertake projects to standardise and improve our procedures and act as an interface between FSC & eP and other departments across the Group.
• Support projects through all stages to ensure that their progress, quality and the outputs in key areas are consistent with the scope and targets envisaged.
• Review the outstations and entities progress against agreed recommendations to ensure these are addressed timely. Where relevant, provide guidance and support to outstations and entities in addressing the recommendations.
• Support in achieving the Finance Compliance teams key performance indicators through effective delivery of reviews and validations.
  
  

Qualification

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

• Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or Risk & Compliance.
• Recognised professional audit/Accounting qualification to the standard of Chartered Accountant, CPA or similar preferred.
• Audit experience with a reputable firm and a minimum of 2 years industry related experience required.
  
  

Youll Have An Edge If You Have

• Proven experience in delivering internal/external audits, internal controls framework reviews, for a large multinational and dealing with stakeholders from different countries and cultures.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at various levels in the organisation with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
• Ability to function independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and within an established framework and to be practical and innovative are necessary qualities.
• Aviation experience and familiarity with IATA regulations is advantageous.
• Requirement to travel to carry out the reviews and validations (20%).
