Job Description

Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end commercial lifecycle for conferences, ensuring client expectations and commercial goals are met
- Serve as the primary liaison for commercial conference clients, maintaining strong relationships and providing exceptional service
- Lead contract negotiations and ensure commercial terms align with organizational policies and profitability targets
- Coordinate with sales, operations, catering, technical, to plan and execute seamless conferences. Ensure clear communication and alignment to deliver exceptional customer experiences
- Participate in client meetings, site inspections, and presentations to promote the venue’s conference offerings
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to enhance service delivery
- Resolve commercial and operational issues promptly to maintain client satisfaction and event quality
- Maintain records of contracts, billing, communications, and post-event feedback
- Assist in identifying new business opportunities within the commercial conference segment
- Mentor junior conference staff and contribute to team development
Operating Environment
- Office based, the job requires onsite presence throughout the venue as well as unsociable working hours some evenings, weekends and public holidays to cover site visits and clients’ meetings
- The candidate will be based in DWTC’s offices however client’s meetings may also take place at clients’ premises
- The candidate might be required to participate in trade shows or sales missions outside the country
Formal Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, Hospitality, Event Management, Marketing, or related field preferred.
Work Experience
3-5 years of experience in commercial conference management or sales, ideally within a convention center or hospitality environment.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage complex client relationships and contracts
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in MS Office and event management software (please specify if any preferred)
- Customer-focused with a results-driven mindset
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours as well as business travel as needed
- Participated in trainings/workshops essential to the event industry, presentation skills, commercial aspects
