JOB SUMMARY

Senior Application Engineer – FEA, will engage in pre-sales, post-sales, and training activities to simulate complex mechanical engineering problems for customers using ANSYS software products. Help key-customers in the proper usage of ANSYS structural tools to improve customers’ productivity and satisfaction with ANSYS simulation products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Support the sales team in the engagement with the customers from the technical point of view, by creating elegant and useful simulation solutions, participating in meetings, performing live presentations as well as demo cases, and developing case studies to show the customers how the ANSYS solutions can help them to improve their productivity and revenue.
• Responsible for articulating ANSYS’ value proposition which may encompass its entire suite of products; the presentations must affirm the sales message, differentiate ANSYS, and leave a strong and positive impression to audiences which can include senior company executives
• Deliver high-quality post-sales technical support for customers of Fluid Codes
• Provide basic and advanced training for new and existing customers on Ansys structural solutions.
• Work independently to analyze technical needs, requirements, and state of a customers’ current infrastructure, operations, and engineering workflows.
• Develop technical support repositories that help Fluid Codes customers to be productive and efficient.
• Develop and strengthen long-term relationships with customers.
• Work collaboratively with Customers to ensure their successful use of ANSYS products, sustain a renewals revenue stream and cultivate opportunities to expand software licenses.
• Develop competence as a subject matter expert and industry expert.

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Hold an MS/PhD in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Preferred education and years of professional experience: BS+8, MS+6, or PhD+3
• Minimum 5 years of experience in solving Structural Engineering problems using Ansys tools.
• Expert-level knowledge of linear, non-linear structural mechanics, explicit dynamics, linear dynamics, design optimization and multi-physics
• Experience in composite structural analysis is an advantage.
• Practical work experiences in Aerospace & Defense industry are an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in English (writing and presenting).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate and conduct webinars and presentations to customers.
• Logical problem-solving approach and the ability to clearly communicate the situation and proposed solution to the customer.
• Possesses a sense of urgency, strong organizational and follow up skills.
• Have an engaging personality, engineering curiosity, willingness for continuous learning and professional mindset.
• Demonstrated experience in providing customer technical support, training or with similar customer facing activities
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
