About The Role

We are seeking an experienced ETL Developer with strong reporting expertise. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IBM DataStage, SQL tuning, and Power BI reporting, coupled with the ability to translate business requirements into robust data models and actionable insights.

This role demands analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of data extraction, transformation, and visualization techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using IBM DataStage 11.7 and SQL/PLSQL for efficient data warehousing solutions.
• Write, optimize, and tune complex SQL queries for performance improvement.
• Work with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases to manage data extraction and transformation tasks.
• Utilize Unix shell scripting for automation and process optimization.
• Build and maintain reports using Power BI (Desktop, Server, and Cloud) to meet business requirements.
• Understand and interpret business requirements to design data models and transform them into effective visualizations.
• Monitor and manage data pipelines and reporting schedules, ensuring timely delivery.
• Conduct thorough data analysis, design tests, and troubleshoot complex reporting issues.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver scalable solutions.
• Perform performance optimization for reports and queries to enhance system responsiveness.
  
  

• Strong experience with IBM DataStage 11.7 and SQL-PLSQL.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
• Proficiency in Unix shell scripting.
• Expertise in Power BI - creating dashboards, reports, and data models.
• Ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and models.

• Understanding of database principles like normalization, de-normalization, ER diagrams, and relational data models.
• Ability to extract and transform data using structured query languages and algorithms.
• Experience in developing schemas and implementing data security measures.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing fundamentals, including star and snowflake schemas.
• Ability to interpret business needs and translate them into data models and reports.
